The Gold Ring Duo is an instrumental duo of two professional multi-instrumentalists, Chris Knowles & Ben Walker, specialising in Irish & other Celtic traditional music played on Celtic harp, flute, uilleann pipes, bouzouki, whistle, and low D whistle, to a high musical standard.
They play for weddings, receptions, corporate events, concerts and festivals etc.
Music ranges from beautiful haunting melodic airs, through lively jigs, to fast, exciting reels, as required.
They can also often provide a trio, with the addition of a bodhran player.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, THIS ACT IS NOT TAKING ANY BOOKINGS IN 2020, and presently can only take provisional bookings for 2021.
They normally supply their own small & unobtrusive but high-quality PA system, but are also suitable for a completely acoustic performance in situations where amplification is not allowed, or using just a battery amplifier for the harp where power is unavailable.
